Trancemission — Labyrinth

A night remembered through stage light, physical sound and a live connection to music first heard nearly two decades earlier.

The first thing that stayed with me was the visual environment of the rave itself. Light, lasers and stage architecture did more than frame the room; they gave it weight, turning the space into something felt as much as seen.

Personal context

Two times in one room

Stoneface & Terminal became the centre of the night for me. I had been listening to them since the mid-2000s, and hearing them in person almost two decades later joined two very different periods of my musical life. It was not only nostalgia. Their harder tech-trance material felt immediate and completely present; I had not enjoyed a trance set that much in a long time.

RAM and Heatbeat brought their own force, each changing the pressure of the room in a different way. The night stayed with me on both levels: as a direct, physical encounter with sound and light, and as a line back to an earlier version of myself.
