Eight years into twelve tracks

Although Psycho Breaks arrived in 2016, I began working on its material in 2008. It was not a straight album process: I kept listening, deleting and rebuilding. Some tracks changed several times, and some early material appeared under other aliases before the All Out identity had settled.

The music around me provided reference points, but my aim was not imitation. I was looking for a personal balance between broken rhythms, heavy low-end, aggression, melody and cinematic space. At the same time, I was learning to mix and master with the equipment available to me.

I do not see the roughness as a later mistake to hide. It records the pressure and uncertainty of that period, and the need to prove to myself that I could complete something meaningful. A decade later, some choices may sound naive, but their directness remains part of the album for me.
