Industry Standard Vol. 1

Sometimes two titles are enough to announce a mood: Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me and Positive Energy. Industry Standard Vol. 1 puts the larger album stories aside for a more direct kind of club pleasure. In 2021, that side of All Out came together in a small release of its own.

That turn had clear roots in the producer’s listening. Tiësto, KREAM and Stanton Warriors shared his musical world with The Weeknd and Michael Jackson. Dance-floor immediacy was part of his own taste, not a concession to someone else’s. Alongside the project’s harder side, there had always been another way of approaching rhythm.

Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me also took the closing position in the first episode of Sound System Aberration’s second season, among Tiësto, Seth Hills, Dyro and Chris Lake. An original found its natural company. This release has little need for a larger explanation: sometimes the next step is simply to keep moving.
