Slipknot - Before I Forget (All Out Remix)

Someone else’s song can open a door to an original. All Out’s work on Before I Forget, from Slipknot’s Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses, led to two outcomes: this unofficial remix and the music that would become Massive Tone.

The remix appeared in the catalogue in 2015. While All Out worked with the source, an independent theme began to take shape; with the Slipknot parts removed, it entered the 2016 Psycho Breaks under its own name. An interest in heavy music had become a way of discovering something beyond the chosen song.

This version preserves the moment before the two paths fully separated. Slipknot’s song is still present, while a future original is beginning to emerge within the work. Not every remix leads to such a separation. Here, a response to favourite music gradually found a statement of its own.
