About the remix
Two pieces of the same musical world meet in All Out’s version: Madskillz from Movement In Still Life and Kimosabe, featured on an expanded edition of Emotional Technology. For a producer long attached to BT’s early albums, this offers a way to work with the memory of a period as well as with individual themes.
The unofficial combined reworking appeared in 2022. Both sources remain in its name; the later instrumental Madskillz is a different work. In this version, the two compositions meet within All Out’s own breaks reading.
In 2023’s Funky Flavor, it sits between All Out’s Cortex pieces and Orbital. Within a DJ programme, influences need no separate explanation: favourite music and the result of working with it can stand together. Years of familiarity finally take a form that can enter the producer’s own mix.
