Madonna and William Orbit's electronic song through All Out's production practice. Work on the remix became one of the sources behind I Choose Noise.
About the remix
Electronic music is already inside the pop song on Ray Of Light. Madonna and William Orbit’s work, released on the 1998 album, gave All Out material for an early unofficial remix in 2013, then left a trace in the project’s original music.
The experience of that reworking became one of the sources of I Choose Noise. The main foundation remained All Out’s own Propagandising AMusic; the encounter with another song added a further line to an existing idea. On the 2016 Psycho Breaks, the result received its independent name.
The remix preserves a connection easily hidden by the eventual title. The influence becomes tangible in the work itself: a favourite song meets original material and helps it change. Ray Of Light remains one of those early points of contact.
