About the remix
Remind is an apt title for returning to music that left a lasting impression. The source belongs to Orbital’s second, brown album from 1993. All Out answers from the world of Psycho Breaks, where an early attachment to rave meets experience gained through making heavier originals.
The unofficial version entered the first Linda B guest mix in 2017, beside The Ravers, I Choose Noise and other reworkings of electronic favourites. The originals did not need to be kept separate. They could stand beside the records that first made producing music seem worth doing.
Orbital remained in All Out’s listening afterwards, alongside new discoveries and harder records. Remind marks one moment in that long connection, a return after which the acquaintance continues.
