Underworld's intimate Santiago Cuatro receives a Cortex Stimulation version. A listener's suggestion led to an instrumental and its Let It Roll vocal companion.
About the remix
Underworld appear here from a more intimate angle. A listener introduced All Out to Santiago Cuatro from 2016’s Barbara Barbara, We Face A Shining Future. The small piece led to two versions; this one retains the instrumental Cortex Stimulation line.
Criminal Tribe published the unofficial reworking in December 2019 alongside a version combining it with Doug Lazy’s Let It Roll. That second vocal source is absent here, leaving the focus on All Out’s response to the Underworld composition itself.
The way this work began matters too. A producer need not discover every source alone; another person can offer music that opens an unexpected direction. Santiago Cuatro retains that receptiveness, the willingness to take someone else’s find seriously and give it time in one’s own work.
