About the remix
An intimate Underworld theme meets a voice from late-eighties hip-house in All Out’s Santiago Cuatro / Let It Roll. Two sources come together: music from Underworld’s 2016 album and Doug Lazy material. The decision to combine them grew from a listener’s suggestion to make a remix.
Criminal Tribe published the combined unofficial version in December 2019, beside the instrumental Santiago Cuatro. The vocal comes from an existing Doug Lazy recording, not a newly recorded guest performance. The versions share a beginning while finding different continuations.
Floyd the Barber played the vocal version on Breakbeat Shop in 2020. The music moved between people again: a discovery shared, a reworking made, a place in another programme. The combined title follows a human sequence too, connecting different people’s attention as well as different records.
