Linda B — The Breakbeat Show, Vol. 1

The first Linda B guest mix reached an audience already familiar with All Out’s music. After The Breakbeat Show presented all twelve Psycho Breaks tracks in 2016, All Out returned on 27 October 2017 with a broader portrait. Thirty entries reveal the completed debut and everything that continued to happen around it.

Originals and VIPs sit beside remixes by Rory Hoy, Parallax Breakz, Detach and John Lenin. All Out versions of FSOL, The Prodigy, Orbital and Fluke join them. Favourite music, work on it and other producers’ responses to All Out themes become parts of the same conversation.

The way the future Motor Cortex Stimulation appears here is especially interesting. Hold On, All The Way, A Fractal Space, Showcase pt2 and Cortex Stimulation were still listed as IDs. The 2020 album was far away, but its music was already reaching the airwaves.

The programme preserves a moment between two major works: one finished yet changing through remixes, the other incomplete yet already meeting listeners. A single radio programme gives both states room at once.
