Sound System Aberration S3E3 ft. Shikmusik

One programme was not enough for Shikmusik. In his second appearance in December 2023, the guest opens the old-school side of his collection. All Out begins his own section with Get Bogged Down before the episode unfolds into another substantial guest selection.

Shikmusik originals meet reworkings of Nine Inch Nails and Korn / Skrillex, alongside Underworld, General Midi, Elite Force and Plump DJs. A dedicated Prodigy section brings Charly, No Good, Voodoo People and Timebomb Zone together with All Out’s Funky Shit and the guest’s own Smack My Bitch Up version.

The All Out remix first appeared in 2014. Another DJ now chooses it for a tribute to a group long important to the remix’s maker. Several personal responses to familiar records now sit together in one selection.

After the tribute, the programme continues through The Chemical Brothers, Hybrid, Orbital, Evil Nine and CJ Bolland towards Chase & Status’s Blind Faith. Beside the first appearance’s Newer Skool, this episode reveals the guest collection’s range. Earlier and later music remain parts of the same curiosity.
