Psycho Remixes

After the long labour of a first album comes a moment to let the music leave its maker’s hands. Psycho Remixes gathers sixteen versions in which All Out themes pass through the decisions of other musicians, some longstanding connections and some new participants in the circle.

Parallax Breakz, Rory Hoy, The Aluminium Tough and Windom R take on The Ravers; Detach and Floyd the Barber rework Massive Tone. Sket, Fight Starter and John Lenin make their own versions of Hot Damn. Under Influence, Potential Differense, Furst Lowlett and Experimental Chemistry also appear, while Ivan Louchkin contributes two Not Quite My Tempo remixes. These pieces continue the exchanges of the early EPs on a larger scale.

All Out’s own Hot Damn VIP carries a conversation too. Floyd the Barber provided feedback during its development, offering an outside ear against which the producer could test decisions. That was support during the process, not co-authorship of the version.

Several remixes found independent radio lives on Breakbeat Shop. Rory Hoy later brought his own selection to Sound System Aberration. These connections did not end with the collection’s final track: an album that once demanded so much private persistence gradually became a meeting point.
