Painkiller through Noisia and Lights Out through Spor open a selection All Out returns to years later. Mefjus, Audio, Task Horizon, Xilent, Emperor and L33 follow, alongside Paimon, Qmare, Nvader and Landscapers. These twenty records were already assembled in his September 2011 programme.

For SSA in 2021, the selection receives a different ending. Nero’s Choices and Spor’s As Dust Falls are followed by All Out’s own Before I Close My Eyes. An earlier musical choice meets a later composition and gains another point of reference.

The return to old podcasts has a simple purpose: the music remained close, while its earlier audience had been small. A new programme gives it another chance to reach a listener. The past is not sealed shut; there is room beside it for something that did not yet exist.
