Fringe EP

The All Out Music edition of Fringe brings several musical paths together. Released in 2014, it places extended versions of Road Of Darkness and Sleepwalkers beside John Lenin’s remix of Ravers Domination Of Breakbeat and an instrumental reworking of Frank Mockery’s Nedoromantic. All Out occupies several roles at once: offering original music, receiving another interpretation and responding to someone else’s song.

Those paths would later continue through Into The Storm, The Ravers and Music For Rituals. Here they retain their early names and the freedom of work still developing. Around the same period, Road Of Darkness also appeared in the producer’s mixes beside Colombo, Hybrid and Rennie Pilgrem: his own work was already sounding within a long-loved musical world.

This is a different selection from the earlier Fringe at Scald. The emphasis has shifted, and new participants have gathered around the original themes. This small EP shows the project gradually expanding before several of its separate lines converged on Psycho Breaks.
